WEATHER GETS THE BEST OF CAJUN FUNNY CAR CHAOS BEFORE IT BEGINS

With an unfavorable forecast for the weekend, the Chaos Cajun Nationals event has been postponed until September 15-16, 2023.

“The predicted amount of rainfall this week and weekend simply doesn’t allow us to provide you with the level of entertainment we strive for at the Chaos Cajun Nationals,” Chris Graves, the series founder, said. “With racers from across the country set to travel today and tomorrow, the decision has to be made in a timely manner.”

The rescheduling now makes the State Capitol Raceway event the season finale.

“We have been able to re-confirm Scott Palmer’s NITRO PRO MODS, the Dirty South Gassers, and the Jet Dragsters,” Graves added.

Those who purchased pre-sale tickets and parking passes will be eligible for a refund, and FCC Series organizers will reopen ticket sales soon. For those who have reserved pit side or spectator side RV spots, they will be contacted by Sharon soon and given first dibs to retain your reservation. Those with hotel reservations at their host hotel, La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Baton Rouge in Port Allen, can call (225) 960-7787 to update their reservations.

“We appreciate your understanding that this decision was not an easy one, and the bottom line is safety and entertainment for our racers and fans,” Graves said. “We’ll see you September 15-16.”
