WILLOWBANK RACEWAY STRIKES BONANZA FOR $11 MILLLION UPGRADE.

 

Willowbank Raceway, Queensland will receive a $11 million upgrade as part of the Australian Government Community Development Grants Program to support infrastructure in local and regional economies.
 
“I am delighted to announce this funding,” said local senator Paul Scarr. “The funding will enable an exciting improvement to the facility - from upgrades to the track, lighting and car parking, through to new amenities and other building works. Willowbank Raceway is a much-loved venue and this announcement will ensure its future success and growth.”

Willowbank Raceway opened in 1985 and hosts the Winternationals, the largest drag event outside North America and is home to the fastest Top Fuel pass in Australia, 3.76/322 mph set by Peter Xiberras in June 2021.
