Bob Tasca III, NHRA team owner and driver of the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Funny Car, took a different kind of speed ride Thursday at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas.
Tasca goes 330 mph in 1,000 feet on race weekends, but on Thursday he broke the sound barrier in an F-15 Eagle with the United States Air Force. He and his team took the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Mustang Funny Car to Nellis to compare it to the F-15.

This season, if veteran Top Fuel driver/owner Terry McMillen didn’t have bad luck he wouldn’t have had any luck at all.
McMillen finished the regular season NHRA Mello Series points standings in 11th one place out of getting to compete for the Countdown to the Championship in the final six races of the season.
McMillen and his crew keep moving forward as they prepare to close out the 2019 season at the Dodge NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil in Las Vegas, Oct. 31–Nov. 3 and the Auto Club NHRA Finals, Nov. 14-17 in the team’s Amalie Motor Oil-sponsored dragster.

Fresh off wrapping up his first Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) championship, Aaron Wells followed up one week later by winning the inaugural Atomizer Racing Injectors MWPMS Invitational, held within the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals Oct. 17-20, at the famed Texas Motorplex, near Dallas.
"Honestly, that was as exciting for myself and my team as winning the season championship," Wells said. "And I don't really know that I can explain why I'd feel that way except for it's just such a unique opportunity and, you know, possibly a once-in-a-lifetime experience."
