JUSTIN ASHLEY RACING DEBUTS MULTI-EPISODE WEB SERIES

 

Justin Ashley Racing released the first episode of Fix Flip Fuel, an online multi-episode series. 

The series gives a behind the scenes look at 24-year-old Justin Ashley’s life as he juggles his professional debut driving a 300 MPH Top Fuel Dragster and running his business fixing and flipping properties in New York. 

The first episode gives an overview of what to expect in the upcoming series including the past nine months as Ashley worked with Dustin Davis and the team from their first meeting through three test sessions in preparation for their Charlotte debut. JIM HALSEY RISES FROM THE ASHES TO CHASE CHAMPIONSHIP

 

Fresh off his third PDRA Pro Nitrous win of the year, Jim Halsey now sits on the cusp of securing his first-ever national series championship. It's just the latest big step on the comeback trail after a devastating fire seven years ago at his Maryland-based race shop.

"Yeah, a motor home caught fire and we pretty much lost everything," Halsey recalled. "After the fire we actually repaired the car, which was my old red Camaro. We got lucky because it was inside the trailer, so it just needed a body and paint work and rewired and stuff like that. 

REEP CLINCHES OFAA CHAMPIONSHIP, MCSWAIN ENDS SEASON WITH WIN AT XTREME

The 2019 Good Vibrations Motorsports Outlaw Fuel Altered Association presented by Lone Star Forklift thundered into Xtreme Raceway Park in Ferris, Texas for the final points race of the season.

It was a pressure-filled evening of racing for the championship contenders, who were led by Mary Reep and Jody Austin. Bobby Marriott and Jimmy Jones were in the hunt as well, but with fourteen Fuel Altered machines on the property the competition was stiff and every run would prove vital in the points battle.

Justin Ashley learned a long time ago about the value of versatility. 
 
For the 24-year old real estate developer, he's learned to be aggressive in two different worlds, and this weekend, he's about to step on the big stage of one of them. 
 
Ashley makes his Top Fuel debut this weekend behind the wheel of Dustin Davis' new dragster at this weekend's NHRA Carolina Nationals, hosted by zMax Dragway in Concord, NC.

MOUNTAIN MOTOR PRO STOCK CARS RETURN IN 2020 TO NHRA

 

NHRA officials released the 2020 schedule for the Mountain Motor Pro Stock category, which will compete at six of the 24 events on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule.

RECOVERED ADDICT, ALCOHOLIC HEPP USES DRAG RACING TO REACH THE STRUGGLING

 
Mike Hepp, an NHRA Northeast Division Super Comp driver, has a unique story. He is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, who is using racing to help a Road to Recovery program that he and his crew member Glenn Moore founded.
 
Hepp has been racing since 2012. Mike Hepp Racing has a focus on battling the drug and alcohol epidemic in America with their recovery program.

MURDER NOVA, SCOTT PALMER HEADLINE THROWDOWN IN T-TOWN

 

Street Outlaws' Shawn "Murder Nova" Ellington and NHRA Top Fuel racer Scott Palmer have each confirmed they'll be on the track and racing at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park this weekend (Oct. 11-12) for the 25th running of the epic Throwdown in T-Town!

AUSSIE TOP FUEL PRE-SEASON TESTING WASHED OUT

 

Rain has forced the cancellation of two days of test and tune for leading Australian Top Fuel teams, PremiAir Racing and Lamattina Top Fuel Racing.

The decision is a setback for both teams with the opening round of the 400 Thunder season scheduled for November 1-2.

THE POWER WHEELSTANDERS ARE BACK

 

In front of a packed house, Chris Pearce , of Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin was crowned Champion of the 25th Byron Dragway World Power Wheel Standing Championships.

Immediately prior to the first of two rounds of Wheel Stand competition, Randy Simpson, Byron Dragway's General Manager, played classic audio of the late great Ron Leek announcing past World Power Wheel Standing events over the PA. Among his many accomplishments, Leek was the founder of the World Power Wheel Standing Championships, and CompetitionPlus was fortunate to have interviewed him in 2017, in what turned out to be his last Wheel Standing event.
