PEDREGON INKS DEAL WITH ORIGIN LABS

ERIC MEDLEN NITRO NIGHT TO HONOR BECKMAN

 

Sonoma Raceway and the Sonoma chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) will continue to honor the spirit of the late Eric Medlen at the 13th annual Eric Medlen Nitro Night Charity Dinner on Thursday, July 25.

This memorable evening has kicked off the NHRA Sonoma Nationals drag racing weekend and honored Medlen’s memory since 2007.

BILL BADER JR. - THE AFTERMATH OF THE STORM

 

Bill Bader Jr. didn’t need Jim Cantore to tell him he had a weather emergency. All he had to do was survey the grounds at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park.

His parking lots were flooded. He stood in water that was more than ankle deep. When he unloaded a road roller in an attempt to effect repairs, “the thing immediately sank 2 ½ to 3 feet into the ground.”

NHRA TO FIELD 32-CAR FACTORY STOCK SHOWDOWN FIELD AT INDY

 

NHRA officials announced today that the popular SamTech.edu NHRA Factory Stock Showdown category will feature a 32-car field at the upcoming 65th annual Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis, Aug. 28-Sept. 2.

JEGGIE FINISHES STRONG AT SFG 500

 

Six-time NHRA world champion Jeg Coughlin Jr. took on a massive field of 700-plus talented bracket racers in Saturday's $525,000-to-win main event at US 131 Motorsports Park and came away as a final-four finisher in his JEGS.com Chevy II wagon.
 
The challenge was the highlight of four high-dollar bracket races contested between Wednesday and Saturday at "the Fastest Track in Michigan," and was attended by numerous NHRA professionals along with most of the top sportsman drag racers in the world.

STRICKLAND, HARRIS HEADLINE PDRA VALDOSTA WINNERS

 

Despite not qualifying for the eight-car field, Moroso Pro Boost driver John Strickland picked up the event win at the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) Summer Nationals Ignited by Lithium Pros Batteries. Strickland was racing as an alternate at the South Georgia Motorsports Park event, which was completed Sunday afternoon.

RAIN PUSHES PDRA SUMMER NATIONALS INTO SUNDAY

 

A second evening of heavy pop-up rain storms forced Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) officials to push Saturday eliminations for the PDRA Summer Nationals Ignited by Lithium Pros Batteries into Sunday. Racing will resume at 9 a.m. at South Georgia Motorsports Park to complete the all-eighth-mile series’ fourth of eight races.

LEADING AUSTRALIAN TEAM ON HUNT FOR NEW SPONSOR

 

Gulf Western Oil has parted ways with leading Australia Pro Slammer outfit Team Bray.

The naming rights sponsorship deal that commenced in 2016 and covered the two Pro Slammers driven by father and son Victor and Ben Bray, a Toyota Solara raced by Ben in Sports Compact and two burn-out cars.
