KRAWIEC’S HARLEY-DAVIDSON IS AT THE TOP OF NORWALK QUALIFYING LADDER

Through four qualifying sessions at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, Eddie Krawiec had the best Pro Stock Motorcycle.

That narrative played out Saturday evening as Krawiec took the top qualifying spot with his 6.843-second elapsed time in 197.45 mph in Q4.

KRAMER TAKES THE NO. 1 QUALIFYING SPOT IN PRO STOCK AT NORWALK

Miles-per-hour meant everything for Pro Stock driver Deric Kramer during his second qualifying run at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio Friday.

Kramer and Matt Hartford each clocked 6.559-second elapsed times while running against each other in Q2, but Kramer took the No. 1 qualifying spot since he came across the finish line at 210.18 mph, while Hartford’s speed was 209.59 mph.

ENDERS UNINJURED IN PRO MODIFIED FIRE

 

Pro Mod driver Erica Enders of Houston, Texas, was involved in an on-track incident during the fourth round of qualifying at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio. 
 
Enders Melling Performance Chevrolet Camaro caught fire after crossing the finish line in the shutdown area. Enders was checked out by medical staff onsite and cleared. 

B. FORCE, CAPPS, KRAMER, KRAWIEC AND CASTELLANA SECURE NO. 1 QUALIFIERS AT NORWALK

Top Fuel driver Brittany Force will start race day at the 13th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals as the No. 1 qualifier at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park.

Ron Capps (Funny Car), Deric Kramer (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are also qualified No. 1 in their respective Mello Yello professional classes at the 12th of the 24 events of the 2019 NHRA Drag Racing Series season.

BRITTANY FORCE LEADS TOP FUEL AFTER FIRST DAY OF QUALIFYING AT NORWALK

Brittany Force took care of business Friday at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio.

The driver of the Advance Auto Parts dragster took the provisional No. 1 qualifier with a 3.712-second elapsed time at 328.38 mph in the second qualifying session.

RON CAPPS SETS QUALIFYING PACE IN FUNNY CAR AT NORWALK

This has been a solid season for veteran nitro Funny Car driver Ron Capps.

The popular veteran has won two races this season – Atlanta and Richmond – and he has 17 elimination round wins to sit fourth in the NHRA Mello Yello Series points standings.

Ron Capps powered his Pennzoil Synthetics/NAPA AUTO PARTS Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat to an impressive 3.879-second pass at 329.18 mph to land the Funny Car provisional No. 1 qualifier position on Friday at the 13th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at the halfway point of 2019 NHRA season.

Brittany Force (Top Fuel), Deric Kramer (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are also provisional No. 1 qualifiers in their respective Mello Yello Drag Racing Series classes.

LAUGHLIN LOCKS IN FOR THE WSOPM EVENT

 

Alex Laughlin already has a $50,000 event win to his credit this year. Now, he will try to add a $100,000 victory to his resume in August. 
 
The talented Laughlin officially accepted his invitation to the 2019 DRAG ILLUSTRATED World Series of Pro Mod presented by J&A Service, Elite Motorsports, Big O Tire and benefitting One Cure, which takes place Aug. 9-10 at Bandimere Speedway in Denver.
