IT'S THE HOTTEST HOOTENANNY IN DRAG RACING

The Premier Street Car Association comes to the St. Louis area this weekend for Heads-Up Hootenanny, an event featuring some of the best straight-up drag racing in the country. It’s the fourth running of the event at World Wide Technology Raceway Park at Gateway as the PSCA continues its relationship with the NHRA-sanctioned drag strip. Championship drag racing will come to within 70 miles of Spartanburg this weekend at zMax Dragway, and just under 100 next weekend in Atlanta Dragway. HANEY TO FULFILL CHILDHOOD DREAM AT SUPER CHEVY SHOW

The first time Keith Haney attended a Super Chevy Show he was just a young boy visiting Tulsa Raceway Park with his dad, the same track he now co-owns with fellow drag racer Todd Martin. This weekend the 47-year-old new car dealer also will be competing in a Super Chevy Show for the first time.

"As a kid I attended Super Chevy every time they came to Tulsa and I loved it," recalled Haney, who will be driving "Notorious," his nitrous-injected 2104 Camaro, in the Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) at the recently renamed World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, near St. Louis.  "I always thought, 'Wow, one of these days I'd like to do that,' and now, here we are and I'm doing it. It's like fulfilling a childhood dream, I guess you could say."

VERSATILITY REMAINS KEY FOR ERICA ENDERS

Two-time NHRA champion Erica Enders understood early in her career being versatile was not an option, it was a requirement in order for her to become one of the more successful drag racers in today's modern world.

This weekend, for only the second time since Enders became a professional drag racer, will race another class other than her beloved Pro Stock.
