ALLAN MIDDENDORF TO DEBUT THE AMERICAN OUTLAW AT FUNNY CAR CHAOS

Nitro Funny Car owner and driver Allan Middendorf will debut his newly designed American Outlaw this weekend at Funny Car Chaos at North Star Dragway in Denton, TX. He teamed up with Vinyl Images & Design out of Fenton, MO to create this stunning new look. It was not an easy project, but the owner and designers were up to the challenge.

“I’ve been doing this for 18 years, and this is the most intense wrap I have ever done,” said Vinyl Images & Design owner and President, John Duever. “We used 10 different Avery Dennison supreme wrap films on the body. I put my heart and soul into this car; I personally did the install myself. It took around 23 hours to finish it all up.”

RIVENBARK RULES RADIALS VS. THE WORLD AT SWEET 16

Don't screw up. That's pretty much all Kevin Rivenbark could think about at the unique Sweet 16 event Mar. 21-23, at South Georgia Motorsports Park. A red-light start in the Radials vs. The World (RvW) semi-finals just one month earlier at Lights Out 10 on the same track haunted the North Carolina-based driver.

"All day long and even all weekend my Lights Out result kind of bothered me and I just didn’t want to red light again and let my guys down," Rivenbark admitted shortly after a .048 leave in the Sweet 16 final against Norman Bryson led into a victorious 3.63 pass at 204.91 mph and a $101,000 payday.

BRUDER BROS. BEAT THE BEST IN X275 AT SWEET 16

Early on, Nick and Rich Bruder established themselves among the favorites to leave South Georgia Motorsports Park with $50-grand in hand for winning the always tough X275 class at promoter Donald "Duck" Long's Sweet 16 event.

It would've been a good bet, as the Edison, NJ-based Bruder Brothers took their ProCharger-equipped '88 Mustang all the way to victory lane after a record-setting run of 4.235 seconds at 165.78 mph in the final round over Craig Walls.
