Keith Haney, Todd Martin, "Big Don" Ellison and the rest of the crew at Tulsa Raceway Park totally blew the Tulsa area away with the spring edition of the famed Throwdown In T-Town at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park! An absolute capacity crowd jammed the facility over the two day event which hosted everything from Outlaw Pro Mods to X275 drag radial and everything in between. The Throwdown In T-Town is a true mixed bag of drag racing entertainment from non-stop on track action to the many vendors and midway experiences in the pits. PLUCHINO FAMILY TO EXPAND TO TWO-CARS THIS WEEKEND

Patience is a virtue, and for mountain motor Pro Stock driver John Pluchino, the wait is over this weekend when the PDRA tour rolls into Darlington Dragway for the Spring Nationals.

For 27 years, Pluchino, who has raced with his son Johnny in a supporting role, will now get the chance to see his kid as a teammate.

“Having the opportunity for my son and I to share the winner’s circle - that’s always been a dream of ours,” Pluchino said. “Admittedly, we haven’t put a complete race together so far this year, but I feel like we have a couple really good race cars at the moment, and this might just be our time. What better place for something magical like that to happen than at a legendary facility like Darlington Dragway?”

RENOVATION WORK CONTINUES AT NATIONAL TRAIL RACEWAY

A major renovation project reaches near completion at National Trail Raceway as repaving of the race track, staging lanes and other areas have been completed.

“It was our goal to have all operations fully functional by this weekend," said Scott Gardner, Chief Operating Officer. "However, we ran into some deep substrate issues at the very end of the shutdown area which has slowed our progress down a bit.”

The Danny Nelson-built Racecraft Chassis, powered by a 582-cubic-inch Chevrolet Head Hunter motor from Sunset Performance, will now be sold at Dana Mecum's Auction to be held Sept. 6-9 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.

FORCE TF TEAM ADJUSTING TO CHASSIS CHANGES

While many racers and their teams enjoyed some fun family times in the Southeast between the Charlotte and Atlanta races, Brittany Force’s Monster Energy Dragster team was hard at work back at the Brownsburg, Ind., shop, making chassis updates.

“They headed back to Indianapolis [from Charlotte] Monday morning to front-half the car and then [had to] get it over [to Atlanta] for the weekend. It’s a lot of work. I always appreciate my team and everything they do,” Force said.

Force qualified No. 16 at the recently completed Lucas Oil NHRA Southern Nationals and lost in the first round.
