Proof that you can't keep a good team down, Jerry Bickel today has rolled out a new car and it's a doozie. Here's a sneak peek at the Stevie "Fast" Jackson Camaro leaving tghe Moscow Mills, Mo.-based shop and headed for pre-Gainesville testing.
On Saturday morning, Jerry Bickel Race Cars suffered a fire at a secondary storage building. An estimated $1 Million dollars worth of damage was done to the building.

If you can't copy-cat a friend, then who can you copy-cat?
Randy Ranew, who grew up in drag racing, had a friend who started a shirt of the month club for another industry. He saw how well the idea worked and decided drag racing was ready for this type of business model.
Ranew grew up working at the now defunct El Paso Drag Strip where on a weekly basis they booked in the top names of the 1970s Funny Car era.

Let the record reflect the Pacemaker is back in business.
In a rain-delayed Funny Car final at the Good Vibrations March Meet at Auto Club Raceway - Famoso, Ryan Hodgson drove his Pacemaker-bannered 1969 Camaro to victory over defending NHRA Heritage Series champion Kris Krabill whose Funny Car burst into flames during the run. Krabill was uninjured.
Returning the Pacemaker name to drag racing success was something important to team owner Ron Hodgson, Ron's father.
The Pacemaker Funny Car, campaigned by the late Gordie Bonin and Gordon Jenner, was a staple of the 1970s flopper scene. Hodgson, a longtime associate of the team, chose to resurrect the name this season.

In the end, Mother Nature had the final say.
The final rounds of Good Vibrations March Meet will run on Monday morning after a combination of falling temperatures, rain and hail all nailed the Auto Club Raceway - Famoso following the semi-final round of competition.
Sunday's final eliminations were delayed five hours due to heavy rains which began falling at 8 AM. The skies cleared, the track was dried for competition to get underway.

Second-generation drag racer Lizzy Musi fired the first shot in the four-race Mad Mule Pro Modified Series hosted by Galot Motorsports outside of Durham, North Carolina.
Musi, racing her nitrous-injected Dodge Dart, ran a 3.665 elapsed time at 204.82 miles per hour to beat Jason Harris in the final round.

A fire destroyed a secondary building at Jerry Bickel Race Cars on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
Lincoln County Firefighters were dispatched to Raceway Park Drive, South of Moscow Mills, Mo., for a building fire at Bickel's shop which housed several race cars, an RV, enclosed trailer, parts and equipment. The 4000-square foot building was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Police were first dispatched when a security system malfunctioned notifying police. The initial officer spotted the fire and contacted the Lincoln County Fire Department.

Defending NHRA Heritage Series champion Kris Krabill showed why he wears the No. 1 on the side of the Bucky Austin Funny Car Saturday afternoon at the Good Vibrations March Meet in Bakersfield, Ca.
Krabill established the low elapsed time of the round with a 5.613, 248.25 to take out Chris Davis.

Mike McIntire ensured he would place his name in Bakersfield March Meet history, even if it is provisional status.
McIntire, who made the trek from Chesterland, Ohio, vaulted his way into drag racing history with the quickest-ever Nostalgia Funny Car run during first day qualifying at the Good Vibrations March Meet in Bakersfield, Ca.
McIntire stopped the timers at 5.549 seconds at 241.63 miles per hour. His pass also represents the second-quickest ever in NHRA Heritage Series Drag Racing history.

The February 8th announcement that Drag Illustrated Media will hold its inaugural World Series of Pro Mod (WSOPM) shook up the drag racing world when Editor-in-Chief Wes Buck revealed the unique, $100,000-to-win event on his weekly Facebook Live show. Scheduled for August 4-5 at Bandimere Speedway near Denver, Colorado, the race will feature an invite-only field made up of 16 of the most talented and entertaining legal Pro Modified drivers. Many aspects of the one-of-a-kind event led to a barrage of questions directed at the Drag Illustrated office.
As excitement around the race continues to build, Buck recently took the opportunity to answer several of the most common questions he’s been asked since the official race announcement was released.
