NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series racer Alexis DeJoria, 38, from Austin, Texas, was transported by ground ambulance to Queen of the Valley Hospital, in Napa, Calif., on Sunday after a racing incident in the first round of Sunday’s eliminations at Sonoma Raceway.

Beginning another streak didn’t take long for KB Racing’s Pro Stock team.

NHRA’s Pro Stock Motorcycle Battle specialty race turned into an all-Harley Davidson battle – won by Andrew Hines.
Hines, who pilots the Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Harley, beat his teammate Eddie Krawiec in the finals at Sonoma Raceway Saturday.

Saturday was very good to Screamin’ Eagle Harley-Davidson Pro Stock Motorcycle teammates Andrew Hines and Eddie Krawiec as they split a pair of accolades during final day qualifying at the Toyota NHRA Sonoma Nationals.
Hines captured the NHRA Pro Bike Battle at Sonoma Raceway while Krawiec captured the No. 1 qualifying position, his fifth of the season.

Weather conditions were outstanding Friday night at the Toyota Sonoma (Calif.) Nationals, and reigning NHRA nitro Funny Car world champion Del Worsham seized the moment.
Worsham clocked a track record 3.868-second elapsed time at 327.43 mph in his Kalitta Motorsports DHL Toyota Camry to grab the provisional No. 1 spot at Sonoma Raceway.

A pair of record-setting runs highlighted first day Toyota NHRA Sonoma Nationals qualifying at Sonoma Raceway.
Steve Torrence established a new NHRA Top Fuel record, and Del Worsham grabbed the Funny Car track record to headline the opening day. Bo Butner (Pro Stock) and Jerry Savoie (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also led their respective divisions.
