BILL LITTON TO RACE WORSHAM’S TF DRAGSTER AT DENVER

 

No matter what happens for Bill Litton the rest of his drag racing career he will never forget this weekend.

Litton has joined forces with Chuck and Del Worsham and will be making his Top Fuel debut in the Worsham Racing family dragster at the Mopar Mile-High Nationals Friday through Sunday at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Colo.

“I’m just thankful and blessed for this opportunity,” Litton said. “Del and Chuck and the whole team are amazing and it’s awesome to be with them. I been praying every night since I’ve been 8 years old to get the chance to drive a Top Fuel dragster.”

NHRA PREPARED FOR HISTORIC NATIONAL BROADCAST DEBUT ON FOX

 

After months of anticipation, the moment has finally come. 

This Sunday, July 24, 2016, drag racing will play on the big stage of a major network when the FOX national broadcasting network televises final eliminations from the NHRA Mile High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway located outside of Denver. 

This weekend's coverage will mark the first time in NHRA history that an NHRA national event is presented to a live audience on a broadcast television network.

JOHN FORCE'S FUNNY CAR SPORTING NEW LOOK IN DENVER

 

John Force will be driving a new look Realtree PEAK Antifreeze & Coolant camouflage Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car this weekend at the NHRA Mile High Nationals outside of Denver. The one race partnership will highlight Force’s All-American roots and his passion for building business relationships beyond the race track.

Chicago Super Gas victory a career highlight for emerging star Mia Tedesco

A week later and Mia Tedesco is still smiling.

Tedesco's, a Top Alcohol Dragster who also races in the highly competitive Super Gas division, is awfully proud of her NHRA K&N Filters Route 66 Nationals Super Gas victory. 

D’APRILE AND MCKINNEY PICK UP FIRST 2016 PDRA WINS IN RAIN-DELAYED BUDDS CREEK EVENT

 

NAS Racing Pro Extreme veteran Tommy D’Aprile and Drag 965 Pro Extreme Motorcycle rider Eric McKinney earned their first Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) wins of the season last weekend, joining repeat winners Tommy Franklin (Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous presented by MoTeC) and John Strickland (GALOT Motorsports Park Pro Boost) in the PDRA North-South Shootout winner’s circle. The fifth race on the PDRA 2016 tour was finished on Sunday due to rain that moved into the Maryland International Raceway area near the end of first round on Saturday night. 

PHARRIS TAKES HOLESHOT WIN AT PSCA RAGE AT THE RIVER

Saturday night at Gateway Motorsports Park, DeWayne Mills earned the turbo boosted ET record in the Radial vs. The World class in his '68 Camaro with a lap of 3.799 seconds, .001 seconds quicker than the old record. In the finals against Daniel Pharris of Sikeston, Mo., Mills laid down a pass of 3.813 seconds against Pharris' 3.901.

And lost.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW - BOB VANDERGRIFF JR BREAKS HIS SILENCE

 

Bob Vandergriff Jr. made the abrupt decision to park his two-car Top Fuel team and retire on April 11, 2016. This move left drivers, Leah Pritchett and Dave Connolly, along with two dozen crewmembers in search of employment.

Vandergriff's decision was largely fueled by the death of longtime sponsor Josh Comstock, and the loss of backing from his C&J Energy Services.

Vandergriff has since been silent on the issue.
