COMPULINK CONFIRMS TruSTART SET TO GO NATIONWIDE

 

Back in April, TruSTART was introduced to the sportsman racing world at the K&N Spring Fling Million race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The goal of TruSTART was to change the handicapped bracket racing world by awarding the win to the driver who red-lighted by the least in a double red situation. Following the Vegas event, TruSTART also was used at the Bristol (Tenn.) Spring Fling 5-Day May 17-22.

REGISTRATION IS UNDER WAY FOR ERIC MEDLEN MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Registration is now under way for one of the most popular events among the NHRA drag racing family: the Eric Medlen Memorial Golf Tournament.
 
The Eric Medlen Memorial Tournament, to be held Sept. 1 at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Indianapolis, benefits the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent. Now in its eighth year, the tournament has raised more than $350,000 thanks to the generosity of its supporters.

NHRA LIMITS ANGLE ON FUNNY CAR HEADERS

NHRA confirmed with Funny Car teams today a new regulation standardizing the angle of the headers on Funny Cars.

Starting at next weekend's Mopar Mile High Nationals, Funny Cars will be limited to a 32 degree stands with a maximum pipe OD of 2.75. Step down headers will not be permitted.

FRIENDS REMEMBER CHUCK ETCHELLS AS GREAT DRIVER AND EVEN GREATER FRIEND

A great driver and an even better friend are how members of the drag racing community remember Former NHRA Funny Car driver Chuck Etchells. 

Etchells, 61, died on July 6, 2016.

Over the years, John Force and Whit Bazemore have been rivals, who were all too often on the opposite end of the spectrum in drag racing issue. Days after losing a mutual friend, they were clearly on the same page. 

JR TODD HEADED TO ELDORA DIRT DERBY TO PROMOTE DRAG RACING

J.R. Todd, driver of the SealMaster Toyota Top Fuel dragster, will attend the Aspen Dental Eldora Dirt Derby NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race on Wednesday, July 20th, as a guest of ThorSport Racing and Toyota.

Instead of racing in the PDRA North-South Shootout this weekend at Maryland Int'l Raceway, Haney will be supporting his son Logan as his youth baseball team travels to the USSSA World Series.

REIGNING TOP FUEL CHAMP BROWN CLAIMS CHICAGO TITLE

Once again, Antron Brown displayed why he’s the reigning NHRA Top Fuel world champion.

The veteran driver drove his Don Schumacher Racing Matco Tools dragster to his third victory of the 2016 season when he won the K&N Filters Route 66 NHRA Nationals Sunday in Chicago.
