Dutch Boy Paints and Menards will partner with two-time Pro Stock champion Erica Enders for the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event this weekend at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park.
 
Enders will drive the Dutch Boy/Menards Dodge Dart prepared by Elite Motorsports at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio.

Traditionally, when Jim Dunn Racing rolls out a yellow Funny Car it’s promoting the popular Mooneyes brand. 

At the upcoming Norwalk, Ohio and Joliet, Illinois NHRA national events however, Jim Dunn will be bringing out a yellow Funny Car with a brand who’s namesake founder is older than the racing legend.

Television coverage from the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals will now include live action on FOX Sports 1 of the first two rounds during Sunday’s Finals (June 26) at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Live coverage is from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET. The additional coverage marks the first time this season FS1 has televised live the first two rounds of the Finals.
 
“This is another example of how the NHRA and Fox Sports are working together to bring you more coverage than ever of the world’s fastest sport,’’ said Ken Adelson, NHRA vice president, executive producer and chief content officer.

The NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series event for Group 2 classes from Rocky Mountain Raceways that was canceled due to rain, has been rescheduled for Auto Club Famoso Raceway during their Nostalgia Fall Championships, Sept. 17-18, which will make the event a double event – Two separate events in one weekend.
 
Auto Club Famoso Raceway will host a test-n-tune event on Friday, with one event taking place on Saturday followed by their Good Vibrations Saturday Night Nitro feature show.  The second event for Group 2 will be held on Sunday.  The event car count will determine the number of qualifying runs. Two events – Two entry fees (car and driver) – one fee for crew/team members.

Nitro Funny Car driver Tommy Johnson Jr. seems to always being flying under the radar in his Don Schumacher Racing Dodge.

That wasn’t the case Sunday at the Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tenn., - Johnson Jr. was starring in the spotlight.

Both Shawn Langdon and Tony Schumacher had been telling everyone for weeks that it was just a matter of time before he made it back into the NHRA winners circle.

So something had to give Sunday when the two champions from the Don Schumacher Racing organization faced each other in the Top Fuel final round of the Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway.

NHRA, through its partnership with Greenlight International Limited, has reached an agreement for FOX Sports Australia Pty Limited to televise programming of NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events.

FOX Sports Australia will televise one hour shows that provide coverage of the exciting moments from each NHRA Mello Yello Series race that airs on FOX Sports 1. FOX Sports Australia also will have access to all the previous events from the 2016 season.

Same story, different weekend.

For the 11th time in 11 NHRA national event races, team owner Ken Black saw one of his drivers reach the winner’s circle.

Mike Castellana raced to victory Sunday in the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series portion of the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. This weekend’s Pro Mod racing at Bristol Dragway is presented by the Real Pro Mod Association. This is the fifth of 10 Pro Mod events on the 2016 season.

Castellana won in his Al-Anabi Racing ’69 Chevy Camaro when Bob Rahaim crossed the centerline in his late model TLC Waste Disposal Services Chevy Corvette. Castellana claimed his first victory of 2016 and sixth win of his career.
