DSR GEARING UP FOR THEIR BLOCK PARTY BENEFITTING RILEY CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION AT U.S. NATS

Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) has been a supporter of Riley Children’s Foundation since 2006, with over $820,000 raised for Riley Children’s Health, the leading pediatric hospital in Indiana. For more than a decade, DSR has hosted an Open House event alongside the NHRA U.S. Nationals race weekend. This annual gathering has served as a significant fundraiser for Riley Children’s, and as the highly anticipated 2023 'Big Go' approaches, DSR has announced a new race weekend kick-off event - the DSR Performance Block Party benefitting Riley Children’s Foundation.

The DSR Performance Block Party will commence on Friday, September 1, at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 2:00 p.m., allowing ample time for racing enthusiasts to proceed to Indianapolis Raceway Park, merely three miles away, for the first round of qualifying for the NHRA U.S. Nationals, scheduled for 5:45 p.m.

SCOTT PALMER REDEFINES THE MEANING OF COWBOY

Scott Palmer believes what he believes. One doesn’t need to ride a horse or straddle a bull to be a cowboy.

“I’m a cowboy. I must be a cowboy,” the Professional Bull Riders [PBR]-sponsored Palmer declared. “Even the PBR asked me, ‘Can you ride a horse?”

“I told them I’m not real corporate, and we are a little rough around the edges sometimes here. But they asked me, can you ride a horse? I said, ‘Absolutely not. I cannot ride a horse.”

NHRA'S PRO MODIFIED DRIVERS READY TO SLUG IT OUT IN INAUGURAL ROAD TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series, presented by Type A Motorsports, will kick off the new Road to the Championship for the Pro Mod category at Brainerd Motorsports Park this weekend.

There is little room for error as only four races comprise the championship chase. Just like their Camping World NHRA Drag Racing Series counterparts, the Pro Modified division had their points reset and staggered in five-point increments.

ERICA ENDERS ON THE CUSP OF DRAG RACING HISTORY

However, the thought of being drag racing’s winningest female drag racer has piqued her interest. Enders is now within one victory of tying Angelle Sampey at 46 as NHRA professional drag racing’s winningest female competitor. Counting her 2004 Super Gas title at the NHRA Springnationals in Houston, Texas, they are already tied.
