NHRA has announced the remainder of the 2020 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season. In collaboration with all stakeholders, NHRA plans to hold six national events to complete the 2020 season.

The 2020 NHRA season has looked very different due to the global pandemic. NHRA has worked closely with its partner tracks and race teams to construct a schedule that will honor its rich racing history.

The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois, today announced a new title sponsor for the track’s annual NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series national event. The event will be known as the Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals presented by Pennzoil and will be held on October 2-4.

With the elimination of the traditional Countdown to the Championship playoffs, every round of racing is crucial. Race teams will be ready to battle it out for their shot at an NHRA world championship.

Dodge//SRT and Mopar are now taking reservations for the 50 limited-production, serialized, non-VIN units of the new 2021 Dodge Challenger Mopar Drag Pak.

The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals is proud to announce Nitrous Supply as the title sponsor of the NMCA World Street Finals, which goes down September 24-27, 2020 at Lucas Oil Raceway (Brownsburg, IN). It is the fifth and final event of the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals season with championship hopes and dreams hanging in the balance.

The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum officials announced today the cancellation of the 2020 California Hot Rod Reunion presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif.
 
“We made this difficult decision as we see the effects this pandemic is having on our country, fans, sponsors and racers,” said Martin Betz, executive director. “We believe this is the right decision given the continued high rate of COVID-19 cases in California and the restrictions implemented by the State and Kern County."

National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Rookie of the Year contender Justin Ashley announced that MANSCAPED will be added to his 11,000 horsepower Top Fuel dragster as a major associate sponsor. The marketing partnership will cover the remainder of the 2020 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season beginning this weekend at the most prestigious drag race of the season, the NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, September 4-6.

Reigning Top Alcohol Dragster Champion Megan Meyer has announced her plans to retire at the conclusion of the 2020 NHRA season. Meyer plans to focus on her upcoming marriage, starting a family, and her marketing business after stepping away.

Meyer won the 2019 Top Alcohol Dragster Championship for Randy Meyer Racing in the NGK Spark Plugs A/Fuel Dragster. The second-generation driver made the announcement just days before the prestigious U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana.
