Headlining the new product line is the newest in the Scotty Cannon Heritage Series, now taking pre-orders for the 1993 Corvette, Three-4-Three in '93 design. Pre-orders are moving quickly and, based on the previous offering, sell out quickly. The second of ten planned productions is a one-time run, so once they are gone, they are gone.

MOPAR NAMES DSR PERFORMANCE AS DISTRIBUTOR OF OFFICIALLY LICENSED ENGINE PARTS

 

Mopar has named Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) Performance as the supplier of officially licensed engine components for the 2015 and 2021 Dodge Challenger Mopar Drag Pak.

The Dodge Challenger Mopar Drag Pak is the limited-production, purpose-built muscle car for grassroots and professional drag racers competing in events sanctioned by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and National Muscle Car Association (NMCA). The quickest, fastest and most powerful Drag Pak ever built made its on-track debut this past March with a 7-second quarter-mile run at the NHRA Gatornationals in the Sportsman’s Factory Stock Showdown (FSS) class with DSR pilot Leah Pruett at the helm.

The new DSR Performance online catalog offers engine components for the supercharged 354-cubic-inch Gen-III HEMI V-8 engine that powers both the 2021 model year and previous-generation (2015) Drag Pak.

R+L CARRIERS JOINS JOSH HART RACING FOR NORWALK

NHRA Gatornationals Top Fuel winner Josh Hart and R+L Carriers have joined forces for the upcoming Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Norwalk, Ohio, June 25-27. The R+L Carriers Top Fuel dragster will make its debut during Friday night qualifying. 
"I'm proud to have R+L Carriers join our team for Norwalk to provide their employees with recognition and appreciation," said Josh Hart, a contender for NHRA Rookie of the Year. "They are a family owned business and operate very similar to the values I run my businesses and race team." 

BUSINESSES FIGHT AGAINST EPA OVERREACH

Businesses throughout the country are taking a stand against the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) claim that it is illegal to modify street vehicles and convert them into dedicated race cars. The $2 billion racing industry is pushing back by seeking passage of the Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports (RPM) Act of 2021 (H.R. 3281), a bipartisan bill which clarifies the motorsports-parts industry’s ability to sell products that enable racers to compete, and protects Americans’ right to convert street vehicles into dedicated race cars.

The legendary Street Car Super Nationals invades the Texas Motorplex this weekend with the inaugural EliteHP SCSN: Dallas, featuring some of the top grudge racers from the Lone Star State and nationwide.

In addition to being official event partners, Jay Boddie and Team Boddie are also entered in the event and planning to dominate the eighth-mile heads-up showdown. The Street Outlaws star highlights a weekend of grudge racing expected to give Texas fans one of the most thrilling experiences in motorsports Thursday through Saturday at the world-class facility run by Andy Carter.

MWDRS OFFICIALS ANNOUNCE TEXAS TANGO NATIONALS INDEFINITELY POSTPONED

With a tropical weather development entering the area and a high probability of rain throughout the coming weekend, Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Drag Racing Series (MWDRS) officials have decided to again postpone this weekend’s scheduled Texas Tango Nationals at Houston Raceway Park.

A future date for the event is being discussed, with the details of those plans expected in the coming weeks.

ADRL VICTORY THE BEST MEDICINE FOR RECOVERING HILL

The nurses at a North Carolina hospital probably got worried when they tracked the vital signs of one of their patients and heard an uproar from his room.

It really wasn’t anything to be overly concerned about, it was simply drag racing Hall of Famer Roy Hill watching his car speeding to victory near St. Louis on Saturday night. A win was virtually the best medicine Hill could have received, seeing how he had been hospitalized last week. Injuries he suffered while standing behind the burnout box at NHRA’s Charlotte race a month ago required further medical attention.

TOP FUEL’S HART HAS MAJOR NEWS ON BOTH RACING, BUSINESS FRONTS

 

NHRA Top Fuel racer Josh Hart missed this past weekend’s event at New England Dragway at Epping, N.H., he has seen plenty of action swirling around his Ocala, Fla.-based Fearless Racing team and other companies.

On the racing side, Hart has ambitious new plans for his Burnyzz /Technet Dragster, thanks to a significant increase in funding from existing associate sponsor Buymetalbuildingsdirect.com.

Aside from chasing the Camping World Drag Racing Series crown in his rookie season, Hart is preparing for the opening of Burnyzz 2.0, his expanded Burnyzz Speed Shop and full-service auto center that already was 100,000 square feet under one roof and encompasses an entire city block.

XIBERRAS PRODUCES A MASTERPIECE TO CLAIM AUSSIE WINTERNATIONALS GLORY

 

Seven years after he began racing, Peter Xiberras has emerged from the shadow of his better-credentialled rivals after winning the top two prizes on offer for Aussie Top Fuel at the Willowbank Winternationals on June 13.

The Sydney owner-driver scooped the prize pool, winning his maiden Willowbank Winternational crown and also pocketing his first 400 Thunder championship. To cap off a near-perfect weekend, he reset the Australian record not once but twice, first, with a 3.76 and followed up with a sizzling 3.74 on race day.

The 3.76 run was made just hours after Billy Torrence clocked a 3.77 to top qualify at the TascaParts.com NHRA New England Nationals, on the other side of the world.
