RANSOME CAT SPONSORS FULLER

Current NHRA Top Fuel point leader Rod Fuller will pilot the
yellow-and-black Ransome CAT dragster during the 23rd running of the
Toyo Tires Nationals. David Powers Motorsports and Bensalem, Pa.-based
Ransome CAT have partnered for the Reading, Pa. event, Aug. 16-19, at
Maple Grove Raceway near Reading, it was announced today. This is the
sixth time that David Powers Motorsports and a Caterpillar dealer group
have joined to back Fuller’s car this season.

The relationship between David Powers Motorsports and the CAT dealer
groups is designed as a pilot program to increase technician
recruiting. Caterpillar dealers are experiencing a shortage of
technicians and NHRA drag racing offers a technician-rich recruiting
environment to find qualified candidates with experienced mechanical
backgrounds. Ransome CAT is a full-time Caterpillar dealer serving
eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and northern Delaware.
Ransome CAT operates 13 locations and employs more than 600 people.

“I’m back in black,” Fuller joked. “I’m excited because Ransome CAT was
instrumental in getting the talks started with Caterpillar. To
represent Ransome and Caterpillar is exciting. I’m going to one of my
favorite tracks on tour, Maple Grove. It’s the home race for my clutch
guy Shafty (David Karcanes) and he’s really excited too. We can secure
the No. 1 spot in the Countdown and that’s what we plan on doing.”

TOBLER JOINS PEDREGON

Cruz Pedregon Racing today announced the appointment of veteran fuel tuner, Rahn
Tobler as crew chief of the Advance Auto Parts Funny Car team. Tobler will make
his debut on August 27, 2007, just in time for the prestigious U.S. Nationals.

Tobler comes to
Pedregon Racing with a 30-plus year career in the sport of drag racing including
a three year stint as crew chief for Doug Kalitta’s Top Fuel Dragster. While
with Kalitta’s team, he accumulated 14 event wins, went to the final round 20
times and posted 130 round wins. In 2006, he nearly captured the Top Fuel World
Championship for Kalitta only to be edged by Tony Schumacher’s record-setting
run on the final pass of the season.

“I’m as fired up
as I have ever been about a new crew chief working on my car,” said Pedregon of
his decision to hire Tobler. “We are bringing in a guy who battled for the World
Championship in Top Fuel last year. I’ve wanted this caliber of a crew chief for
some time; unfortunately there are not many available.  I believe he is capable
of taking this team where it needs to go. It helps that Dickie [Venables, Tony
Pedregon’s crew chief] and Rahn are best friends and have worked together for
many years. With Dickie and Rahn, we have the chemistry built in, now we just
need to go out and execute the plan that Tony and I have set
forth.”

SOX & MARTIN IN HOF

Legendary NHRA Pro Stock teammates Ronnie Sox and Buddy Martin are among the
eight inductees this year into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, which will expand its honor
roll of racing greats at its 19th annual induction ceremony Wednesday, Aug. 15,
at the Fillmore Detroit. Three-time NHRA Top Fuel world champion Shirley
Muldowney, who already is enshrined in the hall, will help induct Goodyear and
IRL executive Leo Mehl.  The class of 2007 also includes former NASCAR champion
Bill Elliott, Indy car mechanic/team manager Jim McGee, 1960 Indy 500 king Jim
Rathmann, America's first national sports car champion, John Fitch, and
dirt-track and pavement motorcycle hero Bubba Shobert.

The Stanley Works, parent company of Mac Tools, along
with Kalitta Motorsports, have teamed up to bring a bold, new look to
the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series on the quarter-mile drag strip at
Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pa., Aug. 16-19.

A special, one-time-only paint scheme will adorn the Top Fuel
dragster driven by Doug Kalitta at the Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals. The
expressive decorations on the quick machine employ a classic hot
rodding, flat-black base combined with a modern, faster style with
hard-edged and reflective bright yellow and fluorescent red accents.

BRAINERD FINAL RESULTS

John Force recorded his 125th Funny Car victory Sunday and secured a spot in the
Countdown to the Championship by beating fellow legend Kenny Bernstein in the
closest drag race of the 26th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd
International Raceway. Force nipped Bernstein by .0048 seconds, or about two
feet, with a 4.794-second pass at 316.60 mph to Bernstein's 4.801 at 320.43
mph.

Bernstein's son Brandon quickly brightened his
father's mood by beating friendly rival Larry Dixon in the Top Fuel final, 4.525
to 4.586. In Pro Stock, Jeg Coughlin became just the 11th racer in 56 years of
NHRA competition to score 50 national event wins when he beat Greg Anderson. An
all-Harley Pro Stock Motorcycle final between teammates Andrew Hines and Eddie
Krawiec favored Hines.

Force and Bernstein last faced each other in 1989
at the SuperNationals in Englishtown, N.J., an event that Bernstein went on to win
for his last Funny Car victory. Bernstein now holds a 13-8 mark against Force,
including a 6-2 record in final rounds. Force's career record improves to
125-74, while Bernstein's falls to 69-51.

"Austin Coil [crew chief] has run this track a lot
more than me from the old days of match racing and he really knows this place,
whether it's hot or cool here," said Force, who now has 11 wins at Brainerd.
"This season has been something. Early on I couldn't beat anyone, including that
girl named Force, and I remember awhile back telling Coil we were pathetic.
Something just had us snake-bit and we never did find what it was.
