CHRIS RUSSELL JOINS MAIN AND MARTINETS

Veteran NHRA Sportsman competitors Howard Main and Darvin Martinets have teamed
up to field a Top Alcohol Dragster in the NHRA's South-Central Division 4. 
Rather than starting with a complete new operation, Main has purchased the
two-time Division 2 Championship winning TAD of Guy Kelly.  Martinets, a veteran
of the TAD ranks from the 1980's will handle the driving chores, while former
Division 4 Tuner of the Year Chris Russell will handle the tuning
duties.
 
The team will receive primary backing from Reaction
Delivery, a Houston based short and long haul hot shot trucking company and
associate backing from Pipe Tools, Inc., a Houston based rental company
specializing in field machining equipment for the petrochemical
industry.

NEW PRO MODIFIED DUSTER

Andy
McCoy Race Cars based in St. Louis, Mo is presently working on the
first Pro Mod composite 1970 Duster body kit of it's kind. Much like
McCoy's current 57 Chevy Pro Mod, the new Duster body will be a one of
a kind piece of art. The body, which will be completed by the end of
2007, will take and keep the Pro Mod class where the fans love to see
it, with low 6-sec nostalgic doorslammers going close to 240 mph.

NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY CONVERTING TO COMPULINK FIBER OPTIC TIMING SYSTEM

New England Dragway, home of the Amalie Oil North American Nationals, is
updating its Compulink Timing System to the company’s new, cutting-edge fiber
optic set-up. The fiber optic configuration will replace the old copper wiring
that has been used in timing systems for decades.

 

“This is really
important for any national event track facility,” said Joe Lombardo of New
England Dragway, IHRA’s 2006 Track Operator of the Year. “We all have an
obligation to upgrade and be sure national event technology is the same for all
competitors. In addition, our regular racers will benefit by having a more
reliable system every weekend that’s easier to maintain and less likely to
suffer problems from lightning.”

TROXEL TO DRIVE VETERAN'S TRIBUTE DRAGSTER

tf-pow-warveterens_close.jpgDrag racing philanthropist Evan Knoll will deliver a long overdue salute to
America’s military veterans during the 2007 NHRA POWERade Series season using an
8,000-horsepower Top Fuel dragster as his billboard. Knoll will honor all
Vietnam Veterans with the entry driven by popular Melanie Troxel, which will
compete in all 23 NHRA POWERade Series races this season.
 
Knoll has
dedicated this car to the memory of the 58,195 soldiers, sailors, airmen and
Marines who gave their lives in the line of duty in the Southeast Asia theatre
along with the 304,704 who were wounded in action. All told, almost 1.6 million
members of the United States military saw combat action during the conflict. The
highest troop concentrations reached 543,482 during April of 1968.

FIRST LOOK - LARRY MORGAN'S LUCAS OIL DODGE

Lucas Oil Products, Inc., will serve as the primary
sponsor for Pro Stock frontrunner Larry Morgan Racing during the 23-race 2007
NHRA POWERade Championship Drag Racing tour.

Morgan will be pulling double-duty by competing for
the world championship and continuing his assistance with Lucas Oil in
developing a lightweight synthetic Pro Stock motor oil.

WILL TO BE FEATURED SPEAKER

Hillary Will, who will begin her second season for KB Racing LLC in February,
will be the featured speaker at the third annual Automotive Education Day,
presented by State Farm Insurance, which takes place Wed., Jan. 17 from 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. as part of the 2007 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) at
Cobo Center in Detroit.

Over 5,600 students interested in careers in the
automotive industry, including motorsports, from various school groups
throughout Michigan, surrounding states, and Windsor, Canada are expected to
attend.  The 2007 Automotive Education Day will feature an autograph session and
an opportunity to talk racing and career goals with Will, who finished No. 10 in
the 2006 NHRA POWERade Top Fuel point standings behind the wheel of the KB
Racing LLC-owned, Kalitta Motorsports-managed Top Fuel dragster.

MUNCIE DRAGWAY JOINS NHRA LIST OF TRACKS

NHRA has announced the addition of Muncie Dragway to its roster of member
tracks beginning with the 2007 racing season. The Indiana track, on Highway 67 between Muncie and Albany, is owned and operated by Roger
Plate.

Racers from the track's 2007 points series will qualify for the North Central
Division NHRA Summit Racing Series Finals to be held in Indianapolis
Sept.14-16. Division champions from each of NHRA's seven geographic
divisions advance to the $118,000 NHRA Summit Racing Series National
Championship held in conjunction with the Automobile Club of Southern California
NHRA Finals in Pomona,
Calif., Nov. 1-4.

SLAMMERS JOINS CONNOLLY AND KNOLL

Bravo! Brands Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BRVO): has announced a
partnership with Evan Knoll's Torco Racing Fuels to sponsor Dave
Connolly's 2007 Pro Stock NHRA championship effort.

Connolly, who finished third in 2006, will field a Co-Branded
Torco/Slammers Chevy Cobalt, teaming-up with current Slammers Ultimate
Milk driver, andthree-time world NHRA Pro Stock champion Jeg Coughlin
Jr. The chassis and engines for both cars will be supplied by Cagnazzi
Racing.

RACING TRADE SHOW, AUCTION AND SWAP MEET IN ATLANTA

Atlanta Motor Speedway’s infield and garage areas will be bustling with activity
when the Potts Auction Company conducts a trade show, swap meet and racers
auction this Saturday, Jan. 13.

 

“We
are excited to play host to this racer’s auction,” said Brandon Hutchison, vice president of events at AMS.
“This event will give oval track racers and drag racers an opportunity to sell
parts, engines and entire race cars. 
This is the perfect event to begin your race season
planning.”

ROCKINGHAM A FINALIST FOR NCMA AWARDS

Rockingham Dragway, the Carolinas’ fastest
racetrack, was named a finalist for North Carolina Motorsports Association
awards in two different categories. 

 The Rock, which hosts
more than 90 different events each season and is home to two events in the IHRA
eMax Drag Racing Series, was nominated in both the Event Facility and Marketing
categories.  The award winners will be revealed Jan. 30 during the annual NCMA
banquet at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Charlotte.
