Fourteen-time NHRA Funny Car champion John Force and American Le Mans Series
co-champ Rinaldo Capello are confirmed to join an all-star roster of drivers
attending the 37th annual American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters
Association’s All-America Team dinner, Saturday, January 13, at the Hyatt
Regency in downtown Indianapolis.

Force and Capello are the latest additions
to a confirmed list that includes: Indy 500 winner and IRL champion Sam Hornish
Jr., triple Champ Car World Series titlist Sebastien Bourdais, NHRA Top Fuel
title-holder Tony Schumacher, eight-time ARCA stock car king Frank Kimmel,
Grand-American Rolex Series and ALMS GT2 champion Jorg Bergmeister, Rolex Series
runner-up Luis Diaz, and Formula Ford 2000 champ J.R. Hildebrand. The drivers
and their teams/sponsors consider the AARWBA All-America Team ceremony so
important that both Bergmeister and Capello will be traveling from Europe, while
Diaz will be coming from Mexico
City for the second consecutive
year.

PINKS TOP FUEL SHOW CONFIRMED

Top Fuel drivers Doug Foley and Bobby Lagana Jr. confirmed an appearance on the popular TV show Pinks next summer featuring their respective Top
Fuel dragsters. On the TV show, racers put up their
pink slips of their vehicles in a best-of-five drag race series. Just like the old days, the winner
takes ownership of the other person's car. Foley and Lagana
plan to do that with their Top Fuel dragsters.

ADRL ANNOUNCES 10-EVENT SCHEDULE; 10.5 TIRE CLASS

The Flowmaster American Drag Racing League unveiled its plans for the 2007
season today at the annual  Performance Racing Industry Trade Show,
announcing a 10-event racing  schedule, the addition of a third
points-earning class, and an  unprecedented level of television coverage for
the series.

The ADRL, entering its third full season as the nation's
premier eighth-mile drag racing sanctioning body, will hold 10 events in
2007, up from seven last season. In addition to continuing a number  of
established national events such as the season-opening SpeedTech  Winter
Drags and the Eastern Race Fuels DRAGSTOCK event - the ADRL's  biggest and
oldest race - the ADRL will make its first appearance at  a number of
venues, including Norwalk, Ohio, and Radford, Va.

The series will also
introduce the Pro 10.5 class in 2007, increasing its points-earning classes
from two to three. The new class will join  the ADRL's established classes
in Pro Extreme and Pro Nitrous, giving  the series a presence throughout the
entire spectrum of doorslammer  racing.

LET THE TESTING COMMENCE

South Georgia Motorsports Park located in Valdosta, Ga., turned into a major testing venue for many of the leading professional drag racers. In fact, earlier this season the 8th annual Eastern Spring Test Nationals presented by Torco's CompetitionPlus.com netted over 100 entries.

This week, Top Fuel driver Bob Vandergriff brought his UPS dragster down earlier in the week for testing and made some laps.

FIRST LOOK - MUSI TO DRIVE NEW GTO

New GTO to be part of new Middle Eastern drag racing team

Pat Musi has been racking up the
frequent flier miles commuting from his shop in Carteret, New Jersey to
the Middle Eastern-based country of Bahrain. His mission has been clear
from day one – introduce fast doorslammer racing to a region starved for
horsepower.

Musi’s relationship began when he was
introduced to automobile enthusiast Khalil Toorani by longtime customer Ali
Aryan. Toorani bought Musi's legendary Pro Street 1969 Camaro, a car that Ali
drives in Bahrain.

STOTT IN PURPLE?

The 1963 LeeBoy Equipment Corvette, powered by Torco Race Fuels will make its
first public appearance at the Performance Racing Industry Show. The PRI is the
world’s largest racing trade show featuring the latest in motorsports technology
from 1,400 companies in 1,000,000-square-foot exhibit hall.
