There are many more questions than answers regarding the balance of the 2020 NHRA season and the schedule ahead for 2021. Speculation making its way around suggests the frustrating 2020 season will likely end in either Dallas or Houston. Local health regulations may prevent the NHRA season from concluding at The Strip in Las Vegas, but we are told NHRA at this time is counting on the event happening.

With this said, the uncertainty of California health regulations and rumors of the Pomona Fairplex being sold could likely result in NHRA opening its 2021 season in March in Gainesville, Fla. While we tend not to give much credence to the rumors of the Pomona Fairplex being sold, at this stage in the game nothing could surprise us anymore.

Sources close to the NHRA have told us the 2021 schedule is expected to be released next week.
