"I wanted to name this tournament after Eric because he loved children so much and when he first found out about my involvement with the hospital he pledged his support to whatever he could do to help. Plus, it's a neat way to remember our friend with an annual event where we can all get together and have some fun."

Many of the top drivers on the NHRA tour will participate in the event and will be paired with the various teams. Early commitments have been received from Morgan Lucas, Shawn Langdon, Brandon Bernstein, Antron Brown, Jeg Coughlin Jr., Douglas Horne, Melanie Troxel, Tommy Johnson Jr., and Erica Enders.

There are several layers of sponsorship opportunities for the tournament, beginning with the Gold package, which features entry fee for a foursome of players, signage on all the golf carts, a hole sponsorship, recognition in the event program, and four (4) Lucas Oil Suite Passes for an upcoming Indianapolis Colts game for $3,500.

Silver sponsors receive entry fee for a foursome of players, signage on all the golf carts, a hole sponsorship, recognition in the event program, and four (4) VIP Lucas Oil Hospitality and Suite Passes for the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Lucas Oil for $2,500.

Bronze sponsors receive entry fee for a foursome of players, a hole sponsorship, recognition in the event program, and a special Team Lucas race package for $1,500.

Individual Hole sponsors receive signage on a hole, an opportunity to promote their business at their hole, and recognition in the event program for $500.

Additionally, individual foursomes can be purchased for $500, while single players can get involved for $125.

All players will enjoy lunch, dinner, and beverages in the clubhouse and plenty of refreshments on the course. There will also be numerous skill contests throughout the round such as Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and Hole-in-One, with great prizes up for grabs.

The entire proceedings will be hosted and promoted by Bob and Tom from Q95 with all proceeds going to directly to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital.

"We hope to fill out the field completely," Lucas said. "The main thing is to relax and have some fun, remember our buddy Eric, and help out the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital. One thing my parents instilled in us kids from an early age was the importance of giving back to the community when you can. This combines our drag racing community with a hospital that's right here in our own backyard in Indy. It's going to be a great event and I can't wait for it to get here."
