“There's no truth to the rumor that Ford Racing is looking to cut Force down to two cars,” said Brent Maurer, Ford Racing PR Manager. “We have a long-term agreement with John Force Racing.”

John Force Racing’s PR Manager Elon Werner declined comment citing that it’s the team’s policy not to comment on rumors such as this one.

Maurer confirmed, via Director of Ford Racing Technology Brian Wolfe, that Force is signed to multi-year contract.

Force carries the only major sponsorship in NHRA Full Throttle Funny Car from the Ford Racing program. The program began under Wolfe’s predecessor Dan Davis.

Tasca’s program is funded through the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD), the operator of the Motorcraft and Quick Lane brands, and is totally separate from the Ford Racing program. Wilkerson’s Ford involvement is funded through Tasca’s program.
