Pro Extreme racer Mike Janis was overjoyed as he spent his time with the media following the ADRL Gateway Nationals
in St. Louis, Mo. The former IHRA Pro Modified world champion was
reflecting on his recent success in ADRL competition. He used to have
the same conversations following a run of success in quarter-mile IHRA
competition.

Janis has clearly found a new home, and with his second win in three races, it is clear that happy days are here again for the Lancaster, N.Y.-based racer.
“We had a couple of lucky breaks along the way,” said Janis as he described his day which included a final round bye run. “We were in the 3.80s all day long and at times struggled with the race track. We just struggled in finding the right clutch combination for the race track.”
