LINE PROVES DOUBLY SUCCESSFUL IN BRAINERD

Friday wasn't a bad day for Pro Stock racer Jason Line. He landed sixth in the NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals Pro Stock field.

However, it was his added duties as a Stock eliminator competitor that garnered the most attention. The Minnesota native began his morning by balancing media requests with racing in the Stock division, where he was the No. 1 qualifier and used a second round win over his father to advance through class eliminations.

However, it was his added duties as a Stock eliminator competitor that garnered the most attention. The Minnesota native began his morning by balancing media requests with racing in the Stock division, where he was the No. 1 qualifier and used a second round win over his father to advance through class eliminations.

The afternoon was devoted to the Pro Stocker.

“Although I’m not overly pleased with our performance today, I know we can fix it,” said Line. “We opened with a fairly decent run and made some adjustments for the second session which the car obviously did not like. Fortunately, we have two more attempts tomorrow which will allow us to fix whatever’s wrong, and if the forecast is correct, the conditions should be more to our liking, which will work in our favor.

“The bottom line is that we have work to do. We’ll take the data from both Greg’s (teammate Anderson) and my cars and figure out why my car’s not running as well as it should. I have full confidence in my Summit Racing crew that we’ll get it figured out by tomorrow and put ourselves in a good position for race day.”
