South Georgia Motorsports Park located in Valdosta, Ga., turned into a major testing venue for many of the leading professional drag racers. In fact, earlier this season the 8th annual Eastern Spring Test Nationals presented by Torco's CompetitionPlus.com netted over 100 entries.

 

This week, Top Fuel driver Bob Vandergriff brought his UPS dragster down earlier in the week for testing and made some laps.

V. Gaines made the lion's share of the runs on this day with a 6.609 elapsed time in his Dodge Stratus Pro Stocker. Larry Morgan was on hand as well and ran a best 6.636, 208.07.

Aspiring Pro Stock Motorcycle racer Peggy Llewellyn was on hand as well making test runs under the guidance of George Bryce. She has made some test runs on a  Pro Stock  Motorcycle but on this day was on a  slower bike for training purposes. She may be a name that could be heard more in the future if a pending sponsorship program comes to pass.
