The unprecedented growth of the
Flowmaster American Drag Racing League will continue in 2007 with the
addition of the Pro Extreme Motorcycle class, the ADRL's fourth
points-earning class and first foray into two-wheeled racing.
Pro Extreme Motorcycles will compete at six ADRL events this season:
Montgomery, Valdosta, Huntsville, Norwalk, Rockingham, and the season-
ending GetWorkComp.com World Finals in Ennis. Just like the ADRL's
existing competitions in Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, and Extreme 10.5,
the Pro Extreme Motorcycle class will compete for points, coveted
Iron Eagle national event trophies, prize money, and will send its
top eight points-earners into the Battle for the Belts competition in
Ennis to determine its 2007 champion. The unprecedented growth of the

"Over the past couple of seasons, I have fielded a number of
inquiries from our fans concerning the possibility of the Flowmaster
ADRL adding a motorcycle class," ADRL President Kenny Nowling said.
"We've been cautious about how quickly we have expanded the ADRL over
the years, and the possibility of adding a Pro Extreme Motorcycle
class was no exception to that. But, after more than a year of
working on the concept, I'm happy to announce that the day has come.
I look forward to watching these great riders in action; just like
their namesakes in the other classes, these bikes are nothing short
of extreme."
The ADRL's Pro Extreme Motorcycle class will be led by interim
director Monte Campbell, who is also expected to compete. Other
riders expected to join the circuit this season include James Rester
Jr., Ashley Owens, Billy Vose, Steve Drake, Coodee Thomas, and Jack
Young.
The ADRLs Pro Extreme Motorcycle class will feature carbureted,
nitrous-oxide-boosted bikes with one-piece bodies and 11-inch tires.
ADRL rules do not set a minimum requirement for weight or a maximum
for allowed cc's.
The Flowmaster ADRL began with a single event in the fall of 2004
that featured a weekend of Pro Extreme racing. In 2005, the league
formalized a season-long competition in the Pro Extreme and Pro
Nitrous classes, then introduced Extreme 10.5 racing late last season
on an exhibition basis. Extreme 10.5 will also be a full points-
earning class in 2007.
Any interested Pro Extreme Motorcycle racers or teams are encouraged
to visit www.adrl.us or call (636) 272-ADRL (2375) if they have any
questions about the 2007 series or the ADRL rulebook.
