Past NHRA U.S Nationals fuel Funny Car winner and two-time NHRA Pro Modified series champion Mike Ashley began writing the next chapter in his drag racing career on Monday in post-race testing in Las Vegas. Ashley earned his Top Fuel license during his first runs ever in a dragster.

Ashley, who plans to race in next week's NHRA AAA Finals in Pomona, Ca., will drive the Dexter Tuttle Top Fueler with assistance from Tony Shortall.
