KNOLL ON KINGS OF THE STRIP

For racing fans, the names Evan Knoll and Torco Racing Fuels have become synonymous with racing fuel and high-tech octane solutions. Viewers of the upcoming ESPN2 reality show "King of the Strip" will feature Knoll as the Chief Fuel Officer, the head technical resource for participants in the "winner-take-all" drag racing competition.

As competitors square off against one another, each will have at their disposal the expert advice of Knoll and other pundits from the record-setting crew of Mike Ashley's Gotham City Racing team, including engine specialist Tom Abbett and Mike Ashley himself. The series will be hosted by the husband-and-wife-team of Tommy Johnson, Jr. and Melanie Troxell.

The series will be hosted by the husband-and-wife-team of Tommy Johnson, Jr. and Melanie Troxell.

"I'm really excited to be a part of this show," Knoll said. "It not only features drag racing's greatest stars in TJ, Melanie and Mike, but it lets viewers see what goes on behind the scenes and what it takes to give these cars an advantage on the line."

Racers will compete in a best, three of five race sets where the winner takes the loser's car. In the final episode of the 13-week series, the last racer standing will be given the ultimate choice of keeping all the cars won or taking what's inside a race car trailer filled with cash and prizes.

"I've spent so many years in the fuel business and worked hard to create blends that give racers an advantage. Now, I get to help these racers try to win some pretty awesome cars - or a trailer full of prizes. Now, that's going to be fun," Knoll said.

Mike Ashley said, "I get to work with Evan, trying to help the racers get an advantage over their opponent. Evan will handle the fuel issues, recommending the best Torco blend to give them the most power in their engine, Tom Abbett will be handling the technical and engine questions, and I'll work with them on their mental game, being sure they are focused on winning the race before they even get to the line.

The 13-week series is scheduled to air on ESPN2 in the third quarter of 2007 every Sunday prior to NHRA Race Day presented by Lucas Oil.
