CPTV - A REFURBISHED RACE TRACK, ZMAX DRAGWAY READY FOR 2015

DSB 2040zMax Dragway is a drag strip built to the golden standard. However, last fall during the NHRA Carolinas Nationals, Christian Byrd admits the palatial facility failed to meet the goal.

NHRA postponed the fall race and moved to Dallas leaving Byrd and the team at zMax Dragway with a serious problem to rectify. Following a thorough investigation as to what happened to make the racing surface, for lack of a better description, fall apart.

In December, the racing surface was dug up in all four lanes, and replaced with a new combination of concrete and asphalt. In this news feature from CPTV, Byrd talks about the frustrations of the experiences and the importance to make the situation right for both racers and fans.
