Pro Stock driver Greg Anderson learned a valuable lesson last week. Be careful of what you wish for because you might just get it.

After a race fan uttered he couldn't stand to see the Anderson win, unbeknownst the Summit Racing-sponsored driver was standing in the corner of the elevator, gentleman looked afterwards at him and uttered, "I'm not ashamed."

Anderson responded, “I’m not ashamed either, it’s great to be hated.”

Anderson, by a landslide 40-percent majority, topped the five nominees of CompetitionPlus.com readers nominated drivers who they least like to see win NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events. A distant second at 16-percent was Tony Schumacher, a driver who was also nominated in the fan favorite poll. 

Matt Hagan, Erica Enders and John Force rounded out the five nominees. 

On the other side of the spectrum, CompetitionPlus.com readers overwhelmingly declared Tim Wilkerson as their favorite NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series winner with 43-percent majority. A distant second was 16-time NHRA champion John Force. 

Ron Capps, Steve Johnson and Tony Schumacher rounded out the favorites.
