LEGENDS PREVIEW - THE LEGEND OF BRUCE ALLEN

Imagine for a moment you are just getting your feet wet in the challenge of driving a Pro Stocker, and suddenly you're called upon to drive for one of the most dominant teams in drag racing. Further imagine, the seat you sit in was vacated by a legendary drag racer killed while testing less than two months earlier. If you can fully imagine this scenario then you get a glimpse of what life was like for Bruce Allen in May 1985.

Allen, a former Modified Eliminator racer from Michigan, was the overwhelming and only choice for the Dallas, Texas-based powerhouse Reher & Morrison. A humble racer by anyone's standards, Allen was the soft-spoken driver who performed the assignment admirably.

Allen, who just like his predecessor, was a man of few words in racing interviews. In this preview, you get a glimpse of how Allen opens up about his appointment to drive for RMS, and the inevitable crash in Dallas which ended his career.
