The world of Mountain Motor Pro Stock first created in the IHRA, has always marched to the beat of its own drum. With the demise of the IHRA as a professional drag racing entity, this style of factory hot rod competition is alive and well over in the PDRA.

Thanks for engine builders Sonny Leonard and Jon Kaase, there is an active contingent of the Blue Oval brigade.

Over the weekend, the latest Ford Mustang, albeit a Shelby Cobra model built by Jerry Haas, hit the track. This beauty belongs to John Konigshofer. 

At the recent PDRA Firecracker Nationals, there were four Ford-powered Mustangs, and a Hemi-powered Avenger.
