WILDFIRES WON'T AFFECT VEGAS, POMONA

Due to the recent outbreak of wildfires
throughout Southern California, many fans have contacted NHRA regarding
the status of the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, scheduled for Oct.
25-28 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and the Automobile Club
of Southern California NHRA Finals, scheduled for Nov. 1-4 at Auto Club
Raceway at Pomona.

At this time, no adjustments have been made to the schedules for either of the NHRA POWERade Series events. The final two races of the 2007 season represent the Countdown to One in the POWERade Countdown to the Championship, and world champions will be crowned in each of NHRA's four Professional categories at the conclusion of the two events.
NHRA sends its thoughts and prayers out to the residents of Southern California who have been personally affected by this terrible and unfortunate tragedy.
