HALL OF FAMER ROY HILL ON THE MEND FOLLOWING ZMAX DRAGWAY ACCIDENT

Hall of Fame drag racer Roy Hill is on the mend following a burnout box accident on Friday at the recently completed NHRA Four-Wide Nationals. Hill was struck by a Super Comp dragster and sustained multiple injuries requiring surgery to repair the damage.

Hill is recovering in a local hospital.

"We would like to take a moment and just say a huge thank you for all the phone calls, texts, visits, emails, and everyone who reached out," Hill said, in a prepared statement through his wife Jan and the Roy Hill Drag Racing School. "The accident that happened at Zmax Dragway was no one's fault at all.

"I am getting a little better every day. I will be leaving the hospital soon and transferring to a rehabilitation center to get my movement back. We are having business as usual."
