VANOVER, HALL HEADLINE WINNERS IN QUICK OUTLAWS OPENER

 

The Verge Motorsports Quick Outlaws series kicked off the 2022 Season at Capital City Motorsports Park in Montgomery AL and the increased payout in the 4.50 dragster class paid immediate dividends for the car count.

Chris Vanover took the holeshot victory over recent Gatornationals Super Comp runner-up Sherman Adcock. Vanover was .012 on the light and ran to a 4.518 to defeat Sherman’s .024 initiated 4.514. Chris picked up a cool $10,000 for the win in the star studded 44 car field.

Local racer Evan Hall defeated series regular Jason Hutcheson in the 36 car 4.70 class. Hall also used a starting line advantage for his $10,000 win. His .004 reaction time and 4.743 ET defeated Hutcheson’s 4.738 and .022 light.

Velicity Morris won the newly added Jr Dragter class over a whopping 70 car field.

Paul Peterson collected the WorldWide Express long haul award for his 795 mile journey for Suffield Township Ohio.
