An attendee struck by a runaway Nostalgia Funny Car at Milan Dragway's Detroit Dragway Reunion event has died from his injuries, as reported by MLive.com.

Keith C. Hallett, 78, was initially transported to a local hospital in critical condition when the Funny car apparently had a malfunction while reversing and struck the victim. The incident transpired at 5:33 PM, on Saturday. Hallett was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

The Funny Car struck another Funny Car which was parked in the staging lanes before coming to a stop. The driver was uninjured. 

The crash remains under investigation.

The cause of the malfunction which caused the driver to lose control is also still under investigation.
