The holiday drag racing extravaganza begins one day earlier this year – on Wednesday, with the Turkey Thaw Thrill Show – featuring Jet Cars, fireworks, Monster Trucks, a Super Quick Shootout and the senior citizens’ “Geezer Gambler.”

Another holiday tradition that draws heavy participation is the Christmas decoration contest, where race teams “deck the halls” with lights, motorized figures – and even a snow-making machine or two.
