The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) has entered a multi-year title sponsorship agreement with Darana Hybrid, aiming to revive Nitro Jam. This partnership will also increase purses for racers at the IHRA Team and SuperSeries World Finals events.

IHRA has also partnered with Speed Sport 1, a leading motorsports news organization, to air its content on the live racing network. Speed Sport 1, available on major streaming platforms including Amazon Prime and Roku, provides direct-to-consumer delivery.

Darana Hybrid, which joined IHRA as a major marketing partner in May 2023, has worked with notable brands such as Amazon, FedEx, and Coca-Cola.

“These are huge steps in our goal with the #IHRAReturntoGlory,” said IHRA President Kenny Nowling. “This is a monumental day for IHRA, our racers and track partners as we move into an exciting future.”

Three IHRA Nitro Jam events are scheduled for 2025, featuring Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Mod, and Mountain Motor Pro Stock classes, all with zero entry fees. Locations and dates for these events will be released later.

Payouts at the IHRA World Finals will see Super Pro and Pro winners receiving $25,000, while Sportsman, Motorcycle, and Junior Dragster payouts will be $12,500. Junior racers will now compete in three classes—Beginner, Advanced, and Master—each with a $12,500 prize for the winners.

The winners’ purses for the IHRA Team Finals have tripled for the Super Pro and Pro classes, now set at $7,500. Sportsman, Motorcycle, and all three Junior winners will receive $2,500. A complete list of payouts will be available at ihraracer.com.

“We’re extremely excited to take our partnership with IHRA to the next level,” said Darryl Cuttell, CEO of Darana Hybrid. “We love working with the IHRA staff and share their passion for drag racing.”

With the partnership, IHRA content will reach over 200 million consumers on mainstream platforms and 300 million users on major mobile platforms.

“We are extremely excited that SPEED SPORT 1 will be the television home for IHRA in 2025 and beyond,” said Joe Tripp, CEO of Speed Sport. “IHRA is a world-class series with tremendous competition and stories to share, and we can’t wait to be part of a new era for IHRA.”
