We came across this classic 1965 drag racing documentary produced by Petersen Publishing and narrarated by Dick Enberg. You'll see some legends on here such as Connie Kalitta, Ed McCulloch, Tony Nancy, and others. The video's setting is at the Hot Rod Magazine Drags, hosted by Riverside Raceway, located just east of Los Angeles.

Saturday night was definitely alright for fighting. Championship contenders Del Worsham and Jack Beckman staged the quickest side-by-side Funny Car run in NHRA history with the Infinite Hero car reaching the stripe first with a 3.890, 327.90 to the DHL team's 3.896, 326.32.

A rookie Canadian Funny Car driver named Frank Hawley reached the later rounds and the pounds per cubic inch Pro Stockers went 500-inches for the first time. And, this wonderful travel back in time, was produced by Diamond P and aired on ABC's Wide World of Sports.
