The first time Jack Beckman won the Traxxas Shootout in 2013, the veteran joked the $100,000 prize was spent just as fast as he won it after Beckman’s car exploded just after crossing the finish line.
This year, all he has to do is replace a windshield.

Steve Torrence’s name is all over the recent Top Fuel history at the U.S. Nationals. Unfortunately for him, it had always been in the almost column, losing in the final round of the race three of the past four years and twice in the finals of the Traxxas Shootout since 2012.
But like he’s proven time and time again this season, 2017 is a different story.

It is not lost on Leah Pritchett just how far she has come in such a short amount of time.
From missing the field altogether in her first handful of tries, to a couple of spots on the bottom half of the ladder the past two years, Pritchett’s rise from young upstart jumping from team to team to battling for the Top Fuel championship is well documented.
