The building of the “WyoTech Road Burner,” a 10-second (1/4-mile
elapsed time), state-of-the-art custom motorcycle by WyoTech students
under the direction of G2 Motorsports, will be documented during this
weekend’s edition of “Horsepower TV,” one of RTM Productions four
“PowerBlock” shows, which air every Saturday and Sunday on the SPIKE
television network.
The motorcycle, which carries a unique paint scheme to complement its
unique street-legal performance characteristics, will spend the next
several months on a national tour and will be awarded in December to
the winner of the HORSEPOWER ROAD BURNER BIKE SWEEPSTAKES (tour
information and entry form at: http://www.powerblocktv.com/roadburner).
George Bryce and Derek Churchwell of G2 Motorsports provided the
insight and instruction for students and alumni of WyoTech’s
Sacramento, Calif., and Daytona, Fla., motorcycle technology programs.
These students assembled this motorcycle at RTM’s studios here around a
126-cubic-inch, 150-horsepower S&S Cycle V-Twin engine, exclusively
distributed by G2 Motorsports (www.g2motorsports.net). S&S Cycle
also provided the high-performance clutch and six-speed transmission.
