Drag racing has lost another great ambassador.

Randy Ranew, the driving force behind the Red Line Shirt Club, passed away over the weekend.

The announcement was made by the Funny Car Chaos, a Funny Car drag racing series, sponsored by Ranew's Red Line Shirt Club.

Top Fuel veteran and championship contender Doug Kalitta will be returning to a new-look Applied Imaging Top Fuel dragster for the NHRA Norwalk Nationals this weekend in Norwalk, Ohio. Two years ago Kalitta raced his Applied Imaging dragster to the quarterfinals at the wildly popular race contested just west of Cleveland. The return of the award-winning Michigan-based company which focuses on managed print and network services as well as hardware and software solutions for companies across the Midwest is another strong reflection on the strength of Kalitta Motorsports’ business to business relationships.

Bucher, son of former NHRA Top Fuel racer Jim Bucher,  started going to the drag races with his father when he was three years old. Next weekend, after a 38-year scenario filled with persistence and passion, he will honor his father and fulfill a dream.

Litens High Performance, an Original Equipment leader in automotive tensioning products for domestic and import vehicles, has announced that they had entered a relationship with NHRA Top Sportsman drag racer Don O’Neal.

For the past year, O’Neal has been testing a tensioning kit developed by Litens for use with the Magnuson supercharger in O’Neal’s 2017 Camaro. Litens High Performance will soon be offering this kit to the public in their line of high-performance belt drive products.
