Trackside Systems has purchased Accutime Timing Systems, one of drag racing’s leading timing technology providers. The acquisition combines two established motorsports technology companies and expands Trackside’s presence in track operations.
Accutime founder Rusty Crawford, who built the company’s reputation for accuracy and reliability, will assist Trackside during the transition. Officials said his involvement will help maintain consistency for track operators and racers.
Trackside said all current Accutime systems will continue to function as usual. Existing staff will remain in place, and the company plans to keep its current service, warranty, and parts programs intact.
Customers will be contacted individually as Trackside introduces itself and reviews specific track needs. The company said there will be no interruption in technical support or product availability.
Accutime has long been regarded as a key supplier of timing systems used at drag strips across the country. Trackside officials said combining Accutime’s timing hardware with its own management software will allow closer integration of timing and track operations.
Trackside, based in Ohio, provides digital tools for motorsports venues, including ticketing, point-of-sale, and data management systems. The company said it will continue to invest in technology aimed at improving event efficiency and accuracy.
The acquisition keeps intact Accutime’s reputation for precision while positioning Trackside to expand its footprint in motorsports technology.
