Don Davis Race Cars (DDRC) has set a new standard with the release of a refined 1969 Camaro roadster.

Scott Anderson, the company’s owner and a former employee, has applied his NASCAR experience to enhance this model’s performance and user-friendliness for the racing community.

The new DDRC roadster chassis features advanced construction and a unique 4-link system, allowing for effective competition in traditional bracket racing without throttle stops. DDRC has also incorporated advanced composite materials throughout the body to reduce weight significantly.

This latest model reflects meticulous attention to weight reduction through innovative material use and strategic component placement. The result is a lighter overall chassis that boosts track performance.

At its debut during the Ford Performance NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas, the new roadster earned the Best Engineered and Best Appearing awards.

Spectators praised the vehicle, with comments such as, “You can’t see any wiring!” and Mark Simmons, a noted chassis expert, calling it “the nicest roadster he has ever seen.”

In initial tests, the car recorded consistent times, including impressive straight passes of -.001, 9.925, and .001, 9.899.

“The car scales out very well, which makes it work well and respond as it should to every change made, no matter how small, making it a very useful tool for this type of racing,” Anderson said.

Craig Anderson, a veteran racer, endorsed the vehicle, stating, “It’s the best car I have ever driven, better get ready to sell a lot of these.”

The 1969 Camaro DDRC roadster has a high-performance APD 632 all-aluminum engine and a Hughes Performance Powerglide transmission. It also features Strange Engineering suspension and their high-quality braking systems to ensure optimal performance.

Safety features include an NHRA-certified SFI 10.4 chassis and a complete suite of safety equipment, such as Simpson chute and Pro1Safety seat belts.

Additionally, the car’s aesthetic is heightened by a full custom wrap and functional factory taillights, complemented by carbon fiber air intakes and custom embroidered seats.
