The Professional Racers and Owners Organization (PRO) has announced its on-air talent lineup for the 2nd annual PRO Superstar Shootout, taking place February 6-8, 2025. Jamie Howe and Mike Dunn will cover the event from the FloRacing.tv broadcasting center, while Courtney Enders and Tommy Johnson Jr. will report from the pits and top end.
Alan Johnson, PRO Board President, emphasized the importance of experienced personalities in this role. “Jamie, Mike, Courtney and Tommy bring a wealth of insight to the event. We are turning them loose to tell the story about what we hope will be another record-setting race,” he said.
The event will be broadcast live on FloRacing, featuring Howe and Dunn in the booth providing commentary throughout the qualifying and elimination rounds. Howe has reported on various motorsports while working with ESPN and FOX, and Dunn offers extensive racer insight, having also collaborated with ESPN.
“I was fortunate enough to witness the first PRO Superstar Shootout from the pits and the top end,” said Howe. “Now having the opportunity to push my own boundaries to bring it to fans is something I could not pass up!”
Dunn remarked on his anticipation for the broadcast. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to get back in the booth for the PRO Superstar Shootout,” he said, looking forward to analyzing runs and sharing experiences from his own racing career.
Enders and Johnson will monitor developments in the Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock pits. They will have access to teams and will capture the emotions during qualifying and eliminations to enhance viewer engagement.
“To say I’m excited would be a massive understatement,” said Enders, highlighting the significance of the event. “To be able to go down in history as one of the people who gets to tell the story of this event is one of the most special moments of my career.”
Johnson expressed his eagerness for this year’s event after following last year’s race coverage. The FloRacing team will produce content pieces that highlight unique racer stories and personalities ahead of the event.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the PRO Superstar Shootout broadcast this year,” said Johnson, drawing on his past success as a driver. He anticipates the added intensity of the race season will translate into a unique fan experience.
