Four-time Top Fuel champion Shirley Muldowney has never lost her need for speed. And hopefully, in the future, the lady who revolutionized drag racing for professional female drag racers will get a chance to scratch an itch and do so by running faster than ever before in her life. 

There's a plan on the table that could bring her to the Bonneville Salt Flats and allow her to run more than 460 miles per hour. She's got fingers, toes, and anything else she can cross, hoping for this dream to come true.

Muldowney, who was recently named to the National Motorsports Press Association Hall of Fame, admits running on Bonneville's Salt Flats has been a dream for as long as she can remember.  

"That would fulfill a dream of mine that goes back to the '60s," Muldowney admitted.

In a statement by the Kenosha County Sherriff’s Department, Kenosha County deputies and Fire/Rescue personnel from the Town of Paris and the Village of Somers responded to Great Lakes Dragaway, where Weck’s Corvette had lost control on the track and crashed. He was wearing a helmet and full safety restraints while operating the race car. 

Tony Schumacher has been known to weave his magic, doing the improbable and maybe the impossible at the most implausible times. 

And his winning Top Fuel performance Sunday in the Flav-R-Pac Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways, near Seattle, was no different.

Robert Hight’s victory parade made another stop this weekend, culminating with his win in Seattle.

Hight, out of the John Force Racing stable, won for the sixth time this season in 13 races with his latest triumphant coming at the Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals Sunday.

There have been plenty of valleys in the 2022 NHRA Pro Stock season.

However, through hard work Troy Coughlin Jr. and his Elite Motorsports finally reached a peak on Sunday.

​Eight-time Top Fuel world champion Tony Schumacher picked up his first win since 2020, powering to his 86th career victory on Sunday at the 33rd annual Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways. 

Robert Hight (Funny Car) and Troy Coughlin Jr. (Pro Stock) also won at the 13th of 22 races during the 2022 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season and the final stop during the three-race NHRA Western Swing.

It appeared Top Fuel star Brittany Force might not make a name for herself in qualifying at the Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals near Seattle.

That changed in seemingly a nanosecond in the third and final qualifying session Saturday evening.
