ENDERS BREAKS WINLESS DROUGHT WITH VICTORY IN NEW HAMPSHIRE

Erica Enders knows how to win NHRA Pro Stock national events. She won the 2014 and 2015 world championships and had 21 national event wins on her resume.

That number was stuck at 21 when she made it to the winner’s circle at the Las Vegas fall race in 2015. In all, 33 races passed before Enders returned to Victory Lane and that came Sunday at the New England Nationals in Epping, N.H.

Drag racing nearly had a historical trifecta during the finals of the professional categories at the NHRA New England Nationals in Epping, NH.

Brittany Force (Top Fuel) and Erica Enders (Pro Stock) won at the ninth event of the 24-race NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. Matt Hagan (Funny Car) broke up the triple play as he defeated Courtney Force in the final round.

HIGHT TOPS QUALIFIED FUNNY CAR FIELD AT NEW ENGLAND NATS

For two days in a row, John Force Racing stole the spotlight at the New England Nationals in Epping, N.H.

On Friday, Courtney Force qualified in the provisional No. 1 spot while blowing up her engine.

PRITCHETT CAPTURES NO. 1 QUALIFYING POSITION AT EPPING

The stellar season for Leah Pritchett isn’t missing a beat.

The Don Schumacher Racing driver captured the No. 1 qualifying spot with her track record elapsed time of 3.673 seconds at 328.86 mph during the third qualifying session Saturday at the New England Nationals in Epping, N.H.

ROBERT HIGHT BECOMES ONLY 13TH NHRA DRIVER TO RECORD 50 NO. 1 QUALIFIERS

Robert Hight’s pass of 3.822 seconds at 334.65 mph in the third round of qualifying Saturday at New England Dragway put him in elite company, as only the 13th driver to record at least 50 No. 1 qualifiers in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

Hight had been in a tie for 13th overall with Angelle Sampey, having most recently setting the quickest qualifying time last year at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas. Now, nearly eight months later, Hight reached the half-century mark.

JONES, COX AND MILLER HEADLINE PDRA MARYLAND WINNERS

 

The Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) crowned a pair of first-time winners Saturday night at the PDRA North-South Shootout. Pro Extreme driver Wesley B. Jones and Andy McCoy Race Cars Pro Boost competitor Tylor Miller claimed their first PDRA wins at Maryland International Raceway. Also scoring wins in the pro classes were Jay Cox in Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous presented by MoTeC, Cary Goforth in Extreme Pro Stock and Travis Davis in Drag 965 Pro Extreme Motorcycle. 

HIGHT, PRITCHETT, GRAY HEAD INTO NHRA NEW ENGLAND NATIONALS FINALS AS NO. 1 QUALIFIERS

Robert Hight claimed his first No. 1 qualifier of the 2017 season, during the final day of qualifying at the NHRA New England Nationals in Epping, New Hampshire.

Also scoring No. 1 qualifier was Leah Pritchett (Top Fuel) and Tanner Gray (Pro Stock).
