WJ'S NEW LOOK

With
just over a week before the official start of the 2007 NHRA POWERade
Drag Racing season, work is proceeding at a furious pace at the Warren
Johnson Enterprises shop in Sugar Hill, GA. In many ways, it is just
like any other day throughout the year, with the sound of tools
clanging and the buzz of machinery periodically pierced by the roar of
yet another 1,400-horsepower DRCE III V-8 coming to life on the
dynamometer.

However, as the GM Performance Parts Racing team readies their sleek
Pontiac GTO for another campaign on the tough Pro Stock circuit, there
is a perceptible difference in the air. From the most recent hire to
"The Professor" himself, every member of the team is extremely upbeat,
well beyond the normal pre-season optimism encountered at this time of
year.

NHRA LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING SERIES ON ESPN2

NHRA announced that ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will continue to air 16 one-hour
shows with coverage from select NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series
national events in 2007.

The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series will be showcased on ESPN2 and
ESPN2 HD on a taped-delay basis as part of NHRA’s exclusive
relationship with ESPN, the worldwide leader in sports. The NHRA Lucas
Oil Series has a long-standing tradition of serving as a developmental
arena for the future stars of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.
Many of today’s top professional drivers, including Brandon Bernstein,
Gary Scelzi, Jeg Coughlin, Erica Enders and Ashley Force to name a few,
got their start in one of the NHRA Lucas Oil Series’ seven sportsman
categories.

FULLER RUNS 4.49 WITH MONO-STRUT CAR

Rod Fuller, the defending Top Fuel winner of the NHRA event at Firebird
International Raceway, turned heads last season by racing his Valvoline
dragster to a fifth-place finish in the NHRA standings. Over the
weekend, the Arkansas native raised more than few eyebrows when his
David Powers Motorsports team debuted the latest version of a Top Fuel
dragster equipped with a monostrut rear wing during the National Time
Trials at the Phoenix track.

The three-time NHRA Top Fuel winner became the first driver to record a
4.4-second elapsed time with a monostrut wing as the Valvoline team
completed preseason testing on Wednesday afternoon at Firebird Raceway.
On his only attempt of the day, the veteran racer used a tune-up from
crew chief Rob Flynn to power his Valvoline/Matco Tools dragster to a
performance of 4.490 seconds at 313 mph. Fuller lifted early on the
run. On his only other full pass of the six-day test, Fuller carded a
run of 4.530, 326. Tuesday’s action was washed out due to rain.

O'BANNON RACING SIGNS TEQUILA PATRON

Former Five-Time NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster World Champion Team Owner Jack
O'Bannon has announced the signing of Tequila Patrón as major sponsor of both
his son Sean's championship runner-up Top Alcohol Dragster and a newly added Top
Alcohol Funny Car that will be wheeled by Alexis De Joria.  De Joria, who most
recently won Super Comp at this past year's Pacific SPORTSnationals in Fontana,
Calif., will have her Funny Car tuned by former World Champion Randy Anderson
while O'Bannon's Dragster will be tuned by former World Champion tuner Sam
Shockley.

The team has relocated to a new 9,500
square foot race shop in Ontario, Calif.  Anderson, who tuned Bob Tasca III to
four national event final rounds this past season, will oversee day-to-day
operations at the shop in addition to serving as Crew Chief on the Patrón Top
Alcohol Funny Car.  Shockley, who most recently served as Co-Crew Chief on Cruz
Pedregon's Nitro Funny Car tuned Bobby Taylor to two TAD World Championships in
the mid '90's.  Jeff Lirones will serve as team manager.

TONY SCHUMACHER - INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT

Tony Schumacher will have a hard time coming up with an encore to
the incredible finish in 2006 when he won his third straight and fourth
overall POWERade Series championship by winning and setting a national
record on the final pass of the season.

BAZEMORE MAKES BIG IMPRESSION IN PHOENIX

Whit Bazemore making his first test laps in a Top
Fuel dragster following a decorated Funny Car career that included 20 wins and
29 poles was one of the hot stories entering the annual three-day preseason test
session at Firebird International Raceway. And while the fastest accelerating
vehicles in the world prepared for a 23-race NHRA battle that begins next week
at Pomona, Calif., a stir was created not on the quarter
mile, but rather in the David Powers Motorsports pit area.

The Matco Tools Iron Eagle Club, located between the
Powers-owned dragsters of Bazemore and Rod Fuller, sparked a buzz amongst
attendees from race fans to Matco Tools distributors and fellow NHRA
competitors. It is the largest portable hospitality area in NHRA drag racing,
and rivals the popular Nitro Mall in appearance.

“Our Matco Tools distributors will be treated to a new
and unmatched hospitality experience,” John Torok, Matco Tools Motorsports
Marketing Manager said. “This Powers hospitality area offers no segregation
between race teams. Our guests can see both race crews work on the dragsters
simultaneously. I really believe this will start a new wave of hospitality areas
in NHRA drag racing.”
