Evidently, she isn’t finished yet.

Pro Stock Motorcycle icon Angelle Sampey recently obtained her Top Alcohol Dragster license as part of Antron Brown’s new AB Motorsports Accelerate Program. Sampey, a three-time NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion, has become the first drag racer to join the program, which aims to support racers in advancing their NHRA careers. STEVIE "FAST" JACKSON TO MAKE COMPETITION RETURN AT NHRA U.S. NATIONALS

When two-time NHRA Pro Modified champion Stevie "Fast" Jackson hit the throttle on the burnout a few weeks ago at a test session in Darlington, SC, he went to nearly the eighth mile to let the Artivinco-sponsored Camaro know who was boss. It was Jackson's way of informing the doorslammer world his neck surgery over the winter was a mere bump in the road.

The next step in being back for Jackson will transpire at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, as he announced on Tuesday's Shake and Bake Show.

"I have full intent to enter competition again at U.S. Nationals," Jackson confirmed. "I will be fielding a spare, the second Artivinco racing car owned by Sidnei Frigo. It's his spare car that we're putting together, and he has asked me to compete in it at Indy.

AFTERMARKET DEFEAT DEVICE ENFORCEMENT REMOVED AS EPA PRIORITY

In a recent move, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has excluded "Stopping Aftermarket Defeat Device for Vehicles and Engines" from its final National Enforcement and Compliance Initiative (NECI) for the years 2024 to 2027. This decision sees the agency return enforcement of aftermarket parts to its standard "core" priority, a notable change from its position in recent years.

PROMOTER HOPES TO MAKE BIG SPLASH WITH NO ELECTRONICS, INDEXED-BRACKET RACE

There was a day when an indexed bracket car would launch and run full throttle to the finish line without one single stutter or delay. Long before NHRA introduced the Pro Gas style of racing (9.80 index) to its sportsman curriculum on an exhibition basis at the 1980 Winternationals, race fans embraced this kind of racing as a heads-up competition on a sportsman level.
